5.1 This section is not applicable to this specification.
6. NOTES
6.1 Intended use. The procedures covered by this specification are intended
for use in accomplishing Class II modifications, are intended to require
Important desirable characteristics, and to prohibit serious installation
design discrepancies. This specification cannot properly account for special
problems encountered in the installation of new equipment. Contractors are
encouraged to continually review the requirements of this specification and
supporting specifications, with the intent of developing waiver proposals when
such waivers will yield improved operations while providing adequate margins of
safety.
6.2 Ordering data
6.2.1 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents should specify the
following:
a. Title, number, and date of this specification
b. The following Technical Order(s) are applicable to the requirements of
this specification and should be called out In the contract by reference(s) or
detailed requirements.
